Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services
At Raymond Storage Concepts (RSC), we deliver tailored material handling solutions that unlock your fullest potential and transform the way products move within your warehouse. We help operations streamline processes, boost productivity and maximize budgets by providing a comprehensive suite of solutions—from warehouse layout design and automated equipment to forklifts, industrial batteries and chargers, loading dock equipment and more.
Describe your company in three words
People-Focused. Experienced. Integrators.
Share a recent project, client success, or example of your work in action.
We recently teamed up with a large Ohio 3PL right here in Columbus to tackle a major warehouse challenge: the heavy labor hours and errors that come with manual inventory checks. Through our partnership with Dexory, we deployed fully autonomous inventory robotics and data intelligence technology at their distribution center.
The robot autonomously scans over 20,000 storage locations multiple times a week without interrupting daily operations, creating a real-time digital twin of the warehouse. Instead of spending hours searching for missing pallets, the 3PL team can instantly catch and correct discrepancies—boosting fulfillment speed, protecting against chargebacks, and making the whole operation smarter and faster.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
The material handling world moves fast, and we stay ahead of the curve through strategic partnerships and continuous learning. We closely track and test the latest advancements coming out of the national Raymond network, like the intelligent, lithium-ion-ready smart trucks. Our team also stays active at major industry events like MODEX, PROMAT and Automate to bring cutting-edge intralogistics equipment back to our clients.
Ultimately, we keep it practical: we constantly cross-train our service technicians so that advanced automation—like automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS)—and safety innovations from our trusted suppliers translate directly into keeping our customers’ operations moving.
If you had to start over from scratch, what’s the first thing you’d do differently?
Establish systematic processes much earlier in our journey. Building a business structured around strong processes—and empowering a trusted team to lead them—is the powerful engine behind sustainable growth.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as a business owner?
“Take care of people and the business will take care of itself”. It sounds simple, but relationships always matter more than transactions. Customers remember how you respond when things get difficult, and employees remember when they truly feel valued. Long-term business success is built entirely on trust and good intentions.
What makes a successful partnership at your company?
It all starts with honesty and consistency. We need to be able to have real conversations, work through challenges together, and pull in the same direction. A true partnership means understanding our customers’ business well enough that we can help them think ahead and anticipate what’s next. Over time, those relationships become much more than just business.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is an absolute powerhouse for logistics and manufacturing. Being within a ten-hour drive of nearly half the U.S. population puts our city at the literal center of the supply chain world.
But beyond geography, it’s the collaborative spirit that makes Columbus special. From the booming industrial hubs in New Albany and the Rickenbacker corridor to our incredible local 3PL network, there is a shared drive here to innovate. Businesses in Columbus aren’t just looking for quick vendor fixes; they want true, process-oriented, long-term strategic partners to help them scale. That forward-thinking mindset makes this a genuinely rewarding community to support.
What do you want people to remember about your business five years from now?
That we did things the right way for both our employees and our customers. Five years from now, it would mean the world to our team if our customers felt we had a genuinely positive impact on their operational growth, and if our employees felt deeply proud of the culture and capabilities we’ve built together.
