A Commitment to Community Impact

ColumbUS GIVES is a new initiative of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Foundation designed to unite for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Columbus Region. Our goal? A stronger, more connected community where giving back is a part of doing business.

What is ColumbUS GIVES?

ColumbUS GIVES is a capacity-building program that supports small and mid-sized businesses as they grow or launch corporate social responsibility efforts. By making an annual pledge to give back—through time, talent, product, or profit—participants join a peer network committed to meaningful community impact.

Why It Matters

Advance Your Business

  • Long-Term Growth: Thriving communities create a stronger economy and greater demand for services.
  • Enhanced Reputation: Brands that give back build deeper trust with customers.
  • Talent Attraction: Employees want to work for companies that care.

Address Rising Community Needs

📊 1 in 3 Franklin County households struggle to meet basic needs.
📉 Charitable giving is down 2.1% nationwide.
🚨 83.61% of local nonprofits would operate at a loss without government grants.

Your Commitment

Participating businesses pledge to give 1% of pre-tax domestic revenue to local 501(c)(3) organizations.

This can include:

  • Financial contributions
  • In-kind goods or services
  • Employee volunteering or matching programs

No paperwork. No reporting. It’s an honor-based commitment, reaffirmed annually.
