Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

FCBank is a commercial community bank, which means that building trust and truly getting to know our clients and their businesses is our main priority. We can make decisions quickly and locally while providing personalized customer service and customized banking solutions every time – all while providing the sophisticated products and services client’s need to run their business.

Being a commercial community bank also means we’re part of the fabric of our neighborhoods. After all, we live here too, and it’s important that our businesses and communities thrive together. We are headquartered in Worthington, with branches in Grandview, Bucyrus, Cardington, Fredericktown and Shiloh. And coming soon…. Westerville!

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

Positively impacting the local communities where we operate is at the core of all we do at FCBank.

That’s why we’ve created our Cardinal Rules, a set of principles that guide us in creating lasting, meaningful relationships with the friends, neighbors, and communities we call home.

  • We measure our success by yours and our communities.
  • We treat our customers like neighbors, not numbers.
  • We don’t just lend money. We lend our hands and hearts, too.
  • Great relationships are built on trust, not transactions.
  • Financial guidance is a dialogue, not a monologue.
  • No cookie-cutter approaches because we care about more than just your dough.
  • The buck stops here. Because it starts here, too.
  • We’re constantly moving forward without leaving you behind.

Our Cardinal Rules are centric to everything we do.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

Networking through the Columbus Chamber has provided FCBank with invaluable relationships. Everyone benefits when businesses, community leaders and local organizations work together for the betterment of the city where we live, work, learn and play. There is so much knowledge to be shared among business owners in Columbus, it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to build these connections.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Having our team involved in a wide variety of organizations helps us to facilitate positive change in the financial industry while also fostering the organic growth of our communities. All FCBank staff members are encouraged to use company time to support local non-profit organizations that are important to them. We are now represented on more than 50 non-profit boards and contribute hundreds of volunteer hours a year to local non-profit organizations.

What is your company culture like?

FCBank is about community, inside-and-out, and we keep this value at the forefront of all decisions. Across our community footprint, we aim to cultivate an environment where employees feel empowered to build their career, while also keeping in mind their personal ideals and goals outside of work.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

At FCBank, our bankers are successful when they can provide flexibility for each unique client. In fact, providing a custom approach to banking is one of FCBank’s Cardinal Rules: “There are no cookie-cutter approaches because we care about more than just your dough.”

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

In Columbus, local businesses are encouraged to be present and invest a higher level of corporate responsibility. This goes to show that commitment to the community is not just about financially supporting non-profit organizations through donations or sponsoring events throughout the year. Business owners in Columbus want to see their community succeed, bottom lines aside.
