Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

The Columbus Fury is a professional women’s volleyball team in Major League Volleyball (MLV) based here in Columbus, Ohio. The Fury competes at Nationwide Arena, the season spanning from January to May with eight current teams in the league. Going into its third season, the Columbus Fury showcases the first opportunity for top volleyball athletes worldwide to compete professionally on U.S. soil. Our goal is to provide an elite platform for volleyball, with world-class competition and high operational standards.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

The Columbus Fury aims to elevate the sport of volleyball and provide a professional platform for elite female athletes alongside our supporting partners, fostering community engagement, education, and access across all levels of the game. The Fury has the greater vision of being a long-standing & driving force in transforming Columbus into the women’s sports capital of the U.S., inspiring future generations of athletes through excellence in competition, inclusive opportunities, and a commitment to holistic athlete well-being.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We are looking forward to connecting with other businesses in Columbus to form meaningful partnerships, increase our brand’s visibility, and learn how we can best support the City of Columbus in the endeavor to become the women’s sports capital of the U.S.  We invite everyone to join us courtside!

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Being part of a growing league means we’re constantly seeking new, innovative ideas, partnerships, and opportunities to expand our impact. The women’s sports industry is evolving rapidly, and we’re committed to staying ahead of the curve. Volleyball fans are uniquely passionate about the sport as a whole instead of solely supporting individual teams, which creates exciting opportunities for cross-collaboration and shared growth across the league. We also draw inspiration from other local organizations like the Crew, Clippers, and Blue Jackets, leveraging their strategies and community engagement models. By integrating ourselves into the community, contributing to social trends, and supporting meaningful causes, we strengthen our presence both on and off the court. Above all, we prioritize listening to our athletes and fans directly, fostering an interactive model that ensures their voices shape our direction.

What is your company culture like?

Our team is collaborative, young, and deeply invested in the growth of our organization and sport. With a small team, everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed, as many projects require an all-hands-on-deck approach. We embrace flexibility, adapting quickly to the constant, unexpected changes that come with being part of a growing league. We are highly visible, oftentimes out in the community building connections, supporting local initiatives, and representing our brand with pride.
