Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

Since 2010, Columbus Food Adventures has been the city’s premiere destination for both public guided food tours and private culinary experiences, serving local guests, tourists, and innumerable corporate groups. We are, first and foremost, the absolute biggest fans of Central Ohio’s exceptional food scene, and we endeavor to share local food at its best with the city, its companies, and the world. For this passionate approach, we are grateful to have been rewarded with recognition as the #1 food tour company in the United States by USA Today in 2024.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

At our core, we aim to create connection through food. We see ourselves as a bridge between an enthusiastic, food-savvy customer base and an extraordinary array of top-quality local restaurants, and we collaborate closely with those food providers to create unique and unforgettable experiences you can’t find anywhere else.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We are looking forward to connecting with business leaders in Central Ohio, and staying abreast of economic developments in the region.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

We’re active participants in various tour-oriented trade associations, and connect regularly with a variety of experts in the space from around the world.

As it relates specifically to restaurant trends, we strongly believe that there’s no substitute for ‘feet-on-the-ground’. While social media and internet research have their place, keeping up with how to best provide the latest in top quality multi-restaurant experiences demands constant in-person evaluation of what’s new in Central Ohio’s restaurant scene.

This exhaustive exploration not only shapes the future of our tourism & hospitality programs, it also forms the basis of our newsletter – Columbus Foodletter – that has become a go-to news source for both industry professionals and the culinarily curious alike when trying to keep up with food trends in Central Ohio.

What is your company culture like?

We pride ourselves in being hospitable, flexible, friendly, creative, and informative. Respect for all people – from the C-suite guest to the dish washer at a restaurant – is a baseline requirement.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

Traits that we value among our employees include a passion for food in all of its forms, a friendly and outgoing nature, hospitality-grade tactfulness and flexibility, and an innate curiosity about people from all walks of life. Reliability is a given!

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

For us, it’s the vitality of the local food scene, and the openness of the citizenry to want to experience it in all of its forms. There’s truly something for everyone here no matter your tastes, and we delight in the challenge of finding what fits you!

We’ve also been gratified to find tremendous support from any of a number of sources throughout the community. Be it neighborhood associations, CVB’s, or non-profits, someone’s always happy to pick up the phone and share their best advice. We’ve benefitted greatly from this, and hope to pass it on.
