March 3rd, 2022

The Columbus Chamber Health Advantage (Immediate Savings/Reduced Trend)

Columbus, Ohio— 03/03/2022 — Today Don DePerro announced a new Health Insurance Program exclusively for Columbus Chamber members with 50 or more enrolled employees. This program has been under development for over a year and is now available for 04/01/2022 effective dates and later. Following up on the success of the Chamber’s MEWA (Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement) program with almost 1000 employers enrolled, the Columbus Chamber Health Advantage (CCHA) utilizes the same group purchasing power to provide larger employers with immediate savings and long-term stability.

Early Results are Showing 15% to 25% Savings. “Utilizing a unique partnership with Medical Mutual, Berkley Captive Insurance Program and USI our distribution partner, we feel that we have developed a program based on best practices adopted by large employers,” DePerro stated. In addition, CCHA will have its own risk pool which will allow the plan to offer employers immediate savings and long-term stability. An added feature is employers will be receiving pharmacy rebates directly just like large companies and a free benefit administration program to assist with the administration of their benefit program.

CCHA is available to Chamber members as early as 04/01/2022. CCHA is available to all groups regardless of their current plan year. The plan will have the flexibility to match nearly any benefit structure, any deductible, and any plan year. In addition, the Chamber will be tapping into an existing group purchasing program for additional discounts on dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance coverages.
