cbuzz: Kristen Easterday, Columbus Regional Airport Authority: Columbus’ trajectory as a global presence

April 27th, 2021

Kristen Easterday is the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which operates John Glenn International Airport, Rickenbacker International Airport and Botlon Field.

“We are the front door to our community,” said Kristen. “That means if you’re welcoming a potential business client or conventioneers or folks that are coming to visit the amazing entities and attractions that we have in our region, this is their first impression and we want to make sure that it is a good one.”

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority and the businesses with direct ties to each of its airports account for nearly 59,000 jobs and $12.9 billion in total annual economic input. In 2019 alone, John Glenn Internal Airport welcomed 8.6 million passengers to its facilities.

Tune in to the latest episode of cbuzz and hear Kristen’s take on Columbus’ trajectory as a global presence, the importance of community partnerships and what is next for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority amidst adaptations due to the worldwide pandemic.
