Describe your company in three words
Strategic. Human-Centered. Transformative.
Share a recent project, client success, or example of your work in action.
We’re currently working with two universities outside of Ohio to help them design and strengthen career-connected pathways for their students. Our approach follows a four-step process that starts with understanding the region’s labor market and identifying where career opportunities are growing. From there, we help institutions align their academic programs with the needs of the local economy and employers.
The next step is ensuring that career preparation is intentionally embedded throughout the student experience, both within the curriculum and through work-based learning and other workforce-connected opportunities outside the classroom. Finally, we help them work with employers in those priority industry sectors to make sure they’re aligned with the institution’s programs and prepared to create meaningful pathways that connect students to careers in their field.
At its core, the work is about helping institutions, employers, and communities come together around a shared strategy that leads to stronger outcomes for students and a more responsive talent pipeline for industry.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We actively build relationships with education, workforce, CTE, economic-development, and employer associations at the local, state, and national levels. Part of this engagement is also attending conferences, policy briefings, industry convenings, and community meetings to help us monitor emerging needs and build meaningful relationships. We continue to have ongoing conversations with learners, educators, employers, and policymakers so our services remain grounded in both lived experience and changing system realities. Our sharing of research, practical insights, and thought leadership will position TECSOL as a trusted contributor—not simply an observer—in the industries we serve.
If you had to start over from scratch, what’s the first thing you’d do differently?
Nothing. We’re a new company so we are still learning with plenty of room to grow. If we need to make changes or pivot on how we provide some services, we have time and capacity to do it.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as a business owner?
Be patient. Stay encouraged.
What makes a successful partnership at your company?
Relationship. Trust. Respect.
