Describe your company in three words
Boutique Fractional HR

HR Method recently partnered with a growing business owner who needed structure and support as her team expanded. We created a customized employee handbook, produced an onboarding video that now saves her hours each month, and provided steady guidance on day‑to‑day employee relations. We also developed safety policies that strengthened her operations and helped her move smoothly through a rigorous insurance audit. What began as a list of urgent needs became a foundation she can now scale with confidence.
We also supported another client facing rising retention risks tied to their executive compensation structure. By analyzing the data quickly and presenting clear recommendations, we helped them address the issue before they lost critical talent. The shift not only stabilized their leadership team but also positioned them for healthier long‑term growth.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We stay engaged in industry trends by investing in ongoing HR education and surrounding ourselves with the right partners. Members of our team maintain professional HR certifications, ensuring we’re aligned with current best practices and emerging workforce shifts. We also collaborate closely with employment law firms and trusted HR networks, giving us direct access to real‑time updates, regulatory changes, and expert perspectives. This combination of continuous learning and strategic partnership keeps our guidance current, credible, and grounded in what organizations need today.
If you had to start over from scratch, what’s the first thing you’d do differently?
If we had to start over again, the first thing we would do is build deeper partnerships with chambers of commerce and other fractional HR groups. The cross‑pollination of work, ideas, and shared expertise would have accelerated our visibility far faster than cold outreach or relying solely on referrals. Those early partnerships would have expanded our network, opened doors to the right clients sooner, and created a stronger ecosystem of collaboration from day one.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as a business owner?
The best advice we received as business owners was to clearly define our value proposition. When people immediately understand what we do and the problems we solve, the right opportunities find their way to us and the work becomes far more intentional.
What makes a successful partnership at your company?
A successful partnership with our company is built on openness, collaboration, and a shared commitment to moving the business forward. We work best with clients who are willing to be transparent about their challenges and goals, and who value having a strategic HR partner at the table. When we can exchange ideas freely, stay aligned on priorities, and operate as an extension of their team, the work becomes more impactful and the results come faster. It’s that mutual trust and engagement that turns HR support into real organizational progress.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is a great place to do business because it blends a strong entrepreneurial spirit with a genuinely collaborative community. The city is large enough to offer diverse industries, talent, and resources, yet small enough that relationships still matter and partnerships grow quickly. Chambers, business associations, and peer networks are active and accessible, creating an environment where connection, support, and opportunity naturally intersect. It’s a place where businesses don’t just operate, they thrive alongside one another.
What do you want people to remember about your business five years from now?
Five years from now, we want people to remember that we helped them strengthen their internal talent, solve the problems that once held them back, and build relationships that lasted long after the work was done. Whether they need us again or simply carry forward the systems and confidence we helped them create, we want our impact to feel steady, practical, and genuinely supportive of their long‑term success.
