Cbuzz recognized at Columbus Podcast Awards

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s business-focused podcast, cbuzz, has been named the Best Business Podcast by the Columbus Podcast Awards.

“One of our main goals at the Chamber is to provide insights and resources on pertinent topics impacting the business community to our membership, which is exactly why we have chosen to invest in our cbuzz podcast,” said Don DePerro, Columbus Chamber president and CEO.

The Columbus Podcast Awards hosted its inaugural event acknowledging over 80 shows in Columbus through a number of different categories including Best Business Podcast, Best Comedy Podcast and Best Music Podcast. Cbuzz was one of seven finalists in the Best Business Podcast category.

Cbuzz features innovative leaders in the Central Ohio Region who are paving new paths in their respective industries. The show is exclusive to featuring active members of the Chamber and publishes a new episode in the second week of every month.

Mikaela Hunt, owner of Mikaela Media and Chief Communications Officer of the Ohio Department of Commerce, hosts cbuzz. Students and faculty from Capital University lend their audio engineering skill sets to assist in the recording and production of each episode, and each episode is recorded in Capital’s state-of-the-art Convergent Media Center on campus.

Previous guests of the show have included Dr. Peter Edwards of the Columbus Crew, First Lady Shannon Ginther of the Columbus Women’s Commission and Dr. Frederic Bertley of COSI.

Podcast episodes can be viewed by visiting the Chamber’s website – columbus.org/cbuzz – and Chamber members interested in appearing on the podcast can contact MemberServices@columbus.org for more information.
