Columbus Chamber Member Connection: Miracle Makeover Designs + Pastimes Marketing

Chamber membership is so much more than an investment in the small business community. Real connections can be made through the Chamber team and we want to share just one example.

We introduced Monika Johnson and Kristie Hollinger from Miracle Makeover Designs (MMD), an interior design firm focused on corporate and non-profit spaces, to Lindsey Kuhn and Jessica Henderson from Pastimes Marketing, a marketing agency focused on helping small businesses with their websites, email, social media, and paid ads.

The Opportunity
MMD had a minimalist website that didn’t currently reflect the work they were doing and the direction they wanted to move as a business. They knew they needed a refresh and it had been on their minds for a while, but they felt overwhelmed by the scale of the project and not confident in their skills to execute their vision.

The Approach
Pastimes knew that the MMD website had a ton of potential to showcase beautiful images of their projects and wanted to elevate their digital presence without straying too far from their brand identity.

They ultimately landed on a simple color palette that originated from one of the chairs in an MMD project, and a circles motif that came from the MMD prospect pitch presentations and softened the stark white and black colors.

From a technical perspective, the site needed a whole lot of search engine optimization (SEO) to help them get found by potential customers and rely less on word of mouth.

Pastimes developed a strategy, researched competitors and the interior design industry, analyzed their current and potential audiences, developed wireframes, a brand mood board, wrote copy, and built the website alongside the MMD team and launched their website in April 2026.

But it didn’t stop there, Pastimes also provided a detailed how-to document so the MMD team can update their website on their own in the future and have peace of mind that they are doing it correctly and efficiently.
