City of Columbus and Columbus Chamber Celebrate Completion of Small Business Accelerator Program
July 2nd, 2026
A dynamic partnership between the City of Columbus and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce has successfully concluded a transformative 10-week business accelerator designed to empower under-resourced local entrepreneurs. The program equipped 19 business owners with the tools, resources, and financial planning support needed to develop business plans and position their companies for future growth.
Throughout the program, participants received free, personalized business consultations and hands-on support. Participants also built valuable connections with fellow entrepreneurs while increasing awareness of their businesses throughout the community.
Weekly sessions were led by Abiona Harper, Programming and Membership Specialist, alongside Tyrone Martin of Nitram Partnering Group, who provided guidance on business operations and financial planning. Together, they helped participants strengthen their business foundations and prepare for future opportunities.
“By removing financial barriers to high-caliber training, we are ensuring our diverse business community has an equitable seat at the economic table,” said Abi Harper. “These 19 business owners are not just leaving with a piece of paper; they now possess a rigorous financial blueprint and the confidence required to pitch to investors and lenders.”
Graduates represented a diverse mix of industries and completed the program with business plans and financial projections designed to support future growth.
The Columbus Chamber’s Fall Accelerate Columbus program will kick off August 26th. Applications are now being accepted. Our commitment to fostering innovation and growth within our community continues, as we support each business one step at a time.
