CXG, the 2024–2025 Agency to Watch and 2025–2026 Production House of the Year, Brings Global Attention to Ohio’s Creative Rise

Columbus, OH – [10/28] – Columbus is rapidly becoming the Emerging Creative Capital of the
Midwest, and leading the charge is ContentEXP Group (CXG) — the award-winning film and
advertising collective known as The Home of Cinematic Promotion.


Founded by filmmaker Brett Langolf, CXG is where purpose meets production — creating
stories that blend authenticity, artistry, and impact. From documentaries to branded films, the
studio’s work bridges local storytelling with global relevance.


Their current slate includes three high-impact productions:


Lines of Hope


A Central Ohio–based documentary following central Ohio military veterans who find strength,
calm, and purpose through fly fishing and connection in nature. The film explores how outdoor
therapy fosters community and prevents suicide.


Tangled Threads


A fashion, history, and sustainability docu-series that brings together leading minds from The
Ohio State University in fashion, history, environmental studies, and sustainability. The series
traces the life cycle of clothing — from cotton fields to oil rigs to landfills in the global south —
uncovering how fashion connects history, humanity, and the environment.


Generation: CURE


A feature-length story of endurance and empathy, following one man’s 65-mile run to raise
awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis research — proof that purpose can move people as
much as it moves mountains.


CXG’s mission is to amplify Columbus’s creative momentum and take these purposeful films
from Ohio to audiences around the world.


Their previous short, Win(d) Over Cancer, was honored in over 70 film festivals globally, including:

  • Hollywood Showcase Fest – Voices of Hollywood Award

Their recent Vietnam work earned multiple Telly Awards, the AAF Mosaic Award for Diversity in
Storytelling, and global honors this week at:

  • Pražské Film-ové Ceny IndieMania – Prague, Czech Republic (Best Documentary Short,
