Households generate a wide range of poisonous, dangerous, flammable, and corrosive products, including lawn chemicals, solvents, household cleaners and pool chemicals. These materials should not be tossed out with household garbage but should be taken to a mobile collection event or SWACO’s permanent HHW facility located at 645 E. 8th Avenue in Columbus (43201). Last year, SWACO expanded the permanent HHW facility’s operating hours to Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
