Commemorating a milestone anniversary at the mall

COLUMBUS, OH (January 20, 2026) – Polaris Fashion Place is celebrating 25 years of shopping, dining, and experiencing fun events at our property.  It was October 25, 2001 that one of Ohio’s premier shopping destinations officially first opened our doors to the community – and we are celebrating throughout 2026!

“They say time flies when you’re having fun. It has been an amazing journey so far for Polaris Fashion Place. We have enjoyed providing our community with a first-class destination not only to shop and dine, but to also make memories that last a lifetime,” said Tamra Bower, General Manager, Polaris Fashion Place. “We have been fortunate to offer amazing long-term, iconic brands such as Apple, Altar’d State, and H&M, while also working with local short-term retailers along the way such as Mariona & Co, Stash House, and Sole Stop.  It has been truly rewarding to watch some of those smaller, local brands earn success and become a household name within our central Ohio community.”

Since its debut in 2001, Polaris Fashion Place has remained a destination for thriving major retailers—such as Von Maur, Macy’s, and JCPenney—and popular dining options including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Potbelly, and Mimi’s Café. Many of our retailers have reinvested in their stores and/or expanded, such as the new Lululemon and Dick’s House of Sport. We are also excited to announce that new brands, retailers, and restaurants will be coming soon!

To celebrate the milestone anniversary, we will have a media wall photo op in Center Court for guests to take photos with as they shop.  They can post their photos on social media, tag @PolarisFashionPlace and also use the hashtag #Polaris25Years for the opportunity to win great prizes! People are also encouraged to send their archived photos of them at the mall over the years; whether they worked part-time at one of our retailers, were buying a dress for their first prom, or enjoying a family dinner at one of our restaurants – we are collecting community photos of you at the mall over the years!  Guests can submit their photos to PolarisFashionPlace@oconnorcp.com.
