Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services
My Period Bag Ugh🩸 is a brand created by SaraBella Johnson, known for its inclusive and diverse range of designer pads, and stylish My Period Bags. One of the key values that MyPeriodBag emphasizes in the pad industry is inclusion.
My Period Bags recognize that not everyone who menstruates identifies as a woman. By acknowledging and catering to the diverse needs of all menstruators, they ensure that everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. This commitment to inclusivity extends beyond the products themselves and permeates into the messaging, branding, and overall mission of the organization.
Purchasing My Period Bags is not just about acquiring menstrual products; it is also about supporting a movement that empowers people and promotes social change. The bags are thoughtfully curated with a variety of sustainable and eco-friendly products, ensuring that individuals have access to high-quality items while reducing their environmental impact.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We had the opportunity to speak alongside Councilmember Will Jawando regarding Bill 42-23, also known as the Menstrual Products Access and Equity Act. During her speech, SaraBella passionately expressed her support for the bill, emphasizing the importance of periods. SaraBella began her speech by stating, “Periods are important.” This simple yet powerful statement highlights the significance of addressing menstrual health and ensuring access to menstrual products for all individuals.
By advocating for the Menstrual Products Access and Equity Act, SaraBella and Councilmember Jawando aim to promote equality and remove barriers to menstrual hygiene. Together, they are working towards creating a society where everyone can manage their periods with dignity and without facing financial or logistical challenges.
Additionally, My Period Bag hosts a podcast called “Periods, Pads, and People”, which involves going out into the community to conduct interviews and share insights about periods. Through this podcast, they aim to facilitate open dialogue about period poverty, while actively working to dismantle stigmas associated with menstruation.
What is your company culture like?
Our company is Breaking Barriers and Challenging Period Stigmas. WE believe it’s time to interrupt and disturb the period stigmas that have persisted for far too long. Menstruation is a natural and normal bodily process experienced by billions of people worldwide, yet it has been shrouded in shame, secrecy, and misinformation.
We are rewriting the narrative to create a society that embraces and educates people about periods without stigma or shame. Interrupting period stigmas starts with open and honest conversations. We need to challenge the notion that periods are something to be hidden or whispered about. By speaking openly about menstruation, we can debunk myths, dispel misconceptions, and educate others about the realities of this natural bodily function.
Let’s encourage discussions in schools, sports, workplaces, and communities that foster understanding, empathy, and support.
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
At MyPeriod Bag, we value and appreciate our employees who are passionate about Periods, Pads, and People. We believe that being knowledgeable and supportive about periods is essential in providing the best service to the communities we serve.
Our employees are an integral part of our family, and we are proud of their dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

However, no matter where we go, our heart always remains in our hometown of Columbus.
We take great delight in doing business with our local clients and treating them like family. Columbus holds a special place in our hearts, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community.
