Tell us about your company’s mission and values

Our mission is to provide you with a full range of the highest-quality insurance products and services at competitive prices. Protecting your assets by addressing complex insurance needs through the development of innovative, customized, insurance programs.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We would like to participate in and contribute to any of the Community events offered by the Chamber. We enjoy getting out in the community, meeting new people, sharing what we do, and helping out where we can.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

The insurance world can change quite often, so keeping up with trends is extremely important to make sure our customers always have the best coverage for their needs. To ensure this we do our best to stay informed through Industry publications, Big I, OIA, carrier relations that share additional industry knowledge, Continuing Education, and Industry designations.

As an affiliate of Leavitt Group Enterprises, we join with over 150 other offices across the United States to gain access to over 800 insurance carriers. This gives us access to nearly every market available, with the experience necessary for accounts with the diverse coverage requirements of public entities such as Columbus. Corporate support and a network of thousands of insurance professionals at agencies across the country provide us the unique opportunity to provide national strength and resources, while maintaining local ownership and a community-driven leadership team.

What is your company culture like?

We know that working hard for our customers is our #1 job, but we never forget that having some fun along the way is also important. This gives us time not only to decompress but offers us time to get to know each other and become friends, not just coworkers.

This past year we attended Top Golf, went to a Halloween movie together, did March Madness brackets and Football squares, a Fall Chili Cookoff and Christmas cookie exchange, cheered on the Columbus Blue Jackets at a game, and did several Happy Hour events.

Along with doing our best to show our employees how much we appreciate them; we also like to show our community how much we care by making donations throughout the year. This past year we donated to Mid-Ohio Foodbank, Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Hospital, and other charity events such as Operation Backpack, The Heart of a Champion, and Cancer Free Kids.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

To be a successful employee at Leavitt Group Midwest, you need to give us your best effort, always be respectful to clients and coworkers, and be a team player. Being a team player is very important to us here. Whether we are working on a new home and auto policy, a small family-owned business, or a large construction company, we pride ourselves on working together to find the right coverage the customer needs.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

Columbus is a diverse city for both individuals and businesses. It offers a variety of living styles, is home to many major corporate businesses, and is a perfect place to start up a new business. This is one thing we love most about being located all over the city.
