Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

GBS is an employee-owned organization founded in 1971 as a print management company and has remained profitable since inception. Over the past 50+ years, we have grown into a $275 million organization with approximately 325 employees, serving more than 30,000 clients nationwide. GBS holds a AAA Dun & Bradstreet rating and specializes in delivering innovative services that integrate and automate financial, technical and administrative operations across organizations. Some of our solutions include: Labeling & Packaging, Print, Marketing and Creative Services, Healthcare Software and Services, IT Solutions (Security, Hosting, Networking, Hardware…), Document Management & Conversion Services, Digital Marketing and eCommerce.

Our Mission is to exceed our clients’ expectations by streamlining operations, leveraging their brand, increasing productivity and lowering cost by providing innovative, technology-driven services and business solutions. What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We attend Chamber Events, Leverage the Chamber for Networking Opportunities, Leverage the Chamber for Partnership Opportunities, Leverage the Chamber for increased visibility (sponsorships, press releases, directory listings…), Education Events, and Community Involvement.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Due to the diversity of our organization, we offer solutions and services to numerous industries. As a result, our Marketing, Business Development and Sales Teams do a lot of Industry Research to better understand trends. Additionally, we participate at a lot of industry events, tradeshows and participate in educational sessions to learn about industry trends impacting each of our divisions and verticals.

What is your company culture like?

GBS is an Employee-Owned company, so our company culture is one that is very similar to a family atmosphere. All employees help one another and care about one another. At GBS, it doesn’t matter your title, everyone can freely be involved in suggestions and recommendations. Additionally, employees have the ability to speak with the C-Level management team freely. Ultimately, the atmosphere is more of a family type setting.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

We define a successful employee at GBS as someone who embodies our ICARE values (mentioned in a previous question) and brings a strong work ethic to to their role. In addition, a successful employee is willing to share ideas and suggestions, take initiative, collaborate effectively with others and make meaningful contributions to the success of the team and GBS.

Because GBS is so diverse and offers solutions and services across multiple industries, Columbus is an ideal place for us to do business. The market provides access to a wide variety of organizations and decision-makers, creating strong opportunities for networking, relationship building and business growth across many sectors.
