Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services
Founded in 2015, BroadView Talent Partners is a national executive search firm dedicated to placing exceptionally talented leadership in the non-profit, community development, affordable housing, association and middle market sectors. We provide clients with an unmatched national network, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and record of long-tenured placements.
Tell us about your company’s mission and values
Listening is perhaps our most developed and valuable skill. We approach each engagement as a critical strategic imperative for the organization’s comprehensive business objectives. We listen attentively to be certain we understand and embrace each client’s unique needs.
We apply specialized knowledge and expertise to bring clients talented leaders who not only fill key roles in their organizations but also deliver solutions that help them achieve long-term business success and sustainability.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is intrinsic to our business, driving our innovative strategies and creative problem-solving. It is the foundation of our client service model and candidate relationship acumen. BroadView Talent Partners is a minority-owned business with a founder who is nationally recognized for his expertise in DEI-related talent acquisition, retention, and leadership development.
After placing executives in key positions, our clients frequently entrust us with onboarding and coaching to ensure those leaders have the requisite tools to perform optimally. In addition, those individuals often become recurring executive search or ongoing career management clients. As a result, we enjoy long-term, trusted professional relationships.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
The Managing Partner in our Columbus office, Christie Angel, is looking forward to AfterHours Networking. “What a great way to further my exposure to the organizations and people who make our business community so special,” she shares.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
Executive search requires us to not only stay abreast of employment and leadership trends, but also communicate those trends to both clients and candidates, helping both sides to manage proper expectations and bring their ‘A’ game. Engaging in conversations with clients and candidates every day keeps us in tune with their needs as well as industry trends. As an AESC Affiliated member, our team is regularly exposed to best practices and fresh insight. Finally, consulting industry-wide data helps us identify talent pools, market shifts, and emerging leadership areas.
What is your company culture like?
We work hard and we play hard. Outside of our offices in Columbus and the great New York City area, our team members primarily work remotely from around the country , but there is much laughter when we gather in person at events throughout the year. Being a boutique agency, we share close, respectful working relationships with a common goal of delivering best-in-class client service. We also celebrate each other’s passions outside of work, whether it be cooking, photography, travel or golf. Taking time off is a must!
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
Our employees treat every client like it is their only client, guiding and nurturing them through every step of our 10-step engagement process. They are never afraid to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and seek diverse viewpoints. They are open to feedback and seek out opportunities to improve themselves.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus boasts a diverse economy that is not reliant on any single sector which fosters ongoing stability. It’s not surprising that both Fortune 500s and thriving startups call it home thanks to its population, job and GDP growth. Yet, despite its position as a Midwest hub, the cost-of-living remains below the national average and the city boasts a thriving cultural scene, both of which make it attractive to businesses and leaders. Plus, we have an incredible number of nonprofit organizations in our city who are committed to bettering every facet of it.
