BELFOR Property Restoration is the world’s largest disaster recovery and property restoration company, with a dedicated team right here in Central Ohio. We help communities and businesses recover from fire, water, storm, and mold damage, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From emergency response and mitigation to full reconstruction, our goal is to return properties to pre-loss condition as quickly and seamlessly as possible so communities and businesses can get back to normal.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

At BELFOR, our mission is simple but powerful: Restoring More Than Property. We don’t just fix buildings, we help restore peace of mind during some of the most stressful moments people face. Founded 80 years ago, we’ve grown into a global leader while staying true to our roots as a family-oriented company.

Our core values are built on one guiding principle: Doing the Right Thing, Even When Nobody is Watching. That means we operate with integrity, loyalty, and commitment in everything we do. We take full ownership of the recovery process, stand behind our work, and treat every client like a neighbor who needs help. What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We’ve found the Columbus Chamber to be a great partner in connecting with the local business community. We appreciate the opportunity to network with other Central Ohio companies and learn about resources that help us serve our clients better. Events and connections through the Chamber have helped us build stronger relationships in the region, and we’re always open to exploring additional ways the Chamber can support our team and growth here in Columbus.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

The restoration industry is constantly evolving, especially with more frequent severe weather events and new technologies emerging. We stay ahead by investing heavily in training, cutting-edge equipment, and innovative processes like advanced moisture detection, air quality monitoring, and efficient drying systems. Our teams regularly attend industry conferences and participate in internal knowledge-sharing to adopt best practices quickly. We also focus on sustainable restoration methods where possible, because doing the job right today helps protect properties for the long term.

What is your company culture like?

BELFOR has a true “family” feel, even as we’ve grown into a global organization. Our teams work hard in often challenging conditions, whether it’s responding to a middle-of-the-night emergency or carefully restoring a historic building, we support one another like family.
