Action for Children is Central Ohio’s child care resource and referral agency, serving families, early childhood educators, and employers across our region. We help families find quality child care, provide professional development and coaching for early childhood educators, and support child care businesses with tools to grow and sustain their programs. We also partner with employers, policymakers, and community leaders to strengthen the child care system so that working families and businesses alike can thrive.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

Action for Children’s mission is to transform the lives of children by supporting the adults who care for them—parents, caregivers, and educators. Our work is guided by a belief that every child deserves access to safe, nurturing, and high-quality early learning experiences. We value equity, collaboration, and community impact, and we strive to be a trusted partner to families, educators, and employers working to build a stronger future for central Ohio.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

Our team loves the networking opportunities through Chamber events, and the access to best in class industry insights.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

We stay closely connected to trends in early childhood education through research, partnerships, and direct engagement with the field. Our team works closely with child care providers, families, state agencies, and national organizations to understand emerging challenges and opportunities. We also conduct regional research, including our Central Ohio Child Care Provider Survey, which helps inform community conversations about workforce needs, affordability, and access to quality care.
