HUCKLE: Columbus-Based MarTech Platform Spins Out from Futurety

Columbus, OH – December 3, 2024 – HUCKLE, a marketing SaaS platform that offers real time customer insights, has officially launched as an independent company, following its rapid growth and adoption while incubated at Futurety, a consulting firm specializing in data engineering and visualization. HUCKLE has $1 million in lifetime sales and a growing customer pipeline, The company was also awarded a Business First Inno Award this fall.

HUCKLE’s platform offers on demand customer insights, providing organizations with clarity on their audiences through real-time data analysis. HUCKLE includes 300 data points on nearly every American over the age of 18 – including demographics, media usage, hobbies, interests and household information. It also allows clients to build a list of highly targeted prospects in minutes.

Balderaz explained that HUCKLE can also build ideal customer lists in minutes, utilizing hundreds of filters. “We spoke with a high end senior living facility in Atlanta. They were looking for a list of every resident near Atlanta with $1 million in net worth who was over 60, had an active social life and played sports.” They said they had spent months looking for that list and we built it in seconds while on a call with them.”

The product empowers clients to make confident, data-driven decisions about targeting, messaging, and customer acquisition. With the mission to minimize “bad bets” and maximize “best bets” for its clients, HUCKLE solves a critical problem for organizations that often rely on theories rather than objective data for marketing success.

Bruce Millard, a Columbus marketing executive who has held leadership positions at some of Columbus largest companies, was an early HUCKLE user. “We didn’t have anything other than anecdotal info to describe our customer/patient base. We needed to understand who they were in order to market more effectively,” Millard said. “It was transformative. For my medical diet client we were able to identify that our core customer was a female age 35 – 55 with above average income who over indexed for Meta.  Overnight we changed our ad targeting to just go after this target and we almost doubled our ROAS by making the change.“

  • Bill Balderaz, CEO and Founder: An entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, Bill previously founded Futurety and Webbed Marketing, the latter of which he grew into a national leader in digital marketing before its acquisition.
  • Michael Littman, CFO: A financial strategist with over three decades of leadership, Michael has driven growth at organizations including SigBee, HealthPlan Data Solutions, and Futurety. In addition, Littman has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions on both the buy and sell side.
  • Andrew Hulse, Revenue Manager: Andrew specializes in revenue growth and partnerships, with a proven track record at startups and enterprises like Vohnt and The Shipyard.
  • Luke Bidigare-Curtis, Head of Product and Engineering: Luke has co-founded multiple ventures and driven multimillion-dollar growth at Framebridge and Filo.He has worked for startups on both coasts that have collectively raised more than $100 million in funding from some of the nation’s top VCs. 
  • Jonah Dolin, Head of Product: Jonah is an analytics expert with deep experience in data engineering, Jonah has built transformative solutions throughout his career at Futurety and ORIS Intelligence.

HUCKLE’s board of directors includes Pamela Springer, known for her expertise in scaling SaaS companies, and Evan Marsh, Founder of WynHouse, the software development company that built HUCKLE. 

Momentum and Future Plans

The company is currently raising a SAFE round to fuel its expansion. Future priorities include “Finn”, an AI interface that allows users to ask HUCKLE questions about their customers and receive immediate answers. “We are building an AI marketing analyst that is built on your real customer data. It can be implemented fast and will provide immediate insight that would have taken months,” Balderaz said.

The funding will also be used to pursue strategic partnerships and expand market penetration in industries such as healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and luxury brands.
