Founder & President Charles “Charlie” R. Morrison III Honored with 2025 Columbus Chamber of Commerce Small Business Leader Award

The Columbus Chamber has honored Small Business Leaders for over thirty years. These leaders rise above the rest and have substantiated success and leadership, increased sales, workforce and contributions to the community. The Small Business Leader Award honors any owner, founder, president, managing partner or CEO whose business exemplifies success through increased sales, number of employees and contributions to the community. These are the elite, the best of the best.

Charles “Charlie” R. Morrison III, Founder & President of MCR Medical Supply, was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Columbus Chamber of Commerce Small Business Leader Award!

Charlie is the Founder & President of MCR Medical Supply, Inc., headquartered in Columbus and recognized as one of the fastest 50 growing companies in central Ohio for the past nine years. Under Charlie’s leadership, MCR has proven itself to be adept at overcoming the challenges faced when a home-based business experiences rapid growth.

Charlie and his late wife, Karen, formed the business in the spare bedroom of their Reynoldsburg home 3 months before the stock market crashed in 2008 causing the Great Recession. They started small with no cash infusion or outside investors and built MCR into a multi-million-dollar business that is on track to exceed $20 million in revenue this year.

Today, MCR is a nationwide distributor of supplies used for CPR training and first aid and has recorded 40% year over year growth for 8 of the last 9 years. Aside from marrying Karen, Charlie is most proud of his company’s ability to support the community by hiring workers with disabilities, providing meals to local homeless shelters, and developing entrepreneurs through the Women’s Small Business Accelerator.

Charlie serves as an advisory member of the Columbus Chamber’s Columbus Region Logistics Council and is on the Chamber’s Small Business Council. In addition, Charlie was appointed to the Mt. Sterling Public Library Board of Trustees and currently serves as its president.
