FCBank Names George Leugers as New President | FCBank

Local Banking veteran to lead community commercial growth in the Central Ohio market

Columbus, OH — FCBank, a division of CNB Bank, has announced the appointment of George Leugers as the Bank’s new President. With more than 20 years of experience in community and commercial banking and leadership across multi-state markets, Mr. Leugers steps into the role with a clear vision for continuity of the Bank’s commitment to its customers, expanded community impact and strategic growth that will further strengthen the Bank’s local presence.

As President of FCBank, Mr. Leugers will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Bank’s operations, growth initiatives, customer experience and community engagement efforts. He succeeds Jenny Saunders who retired earlier this year after being in the role for nearly a decade.

A former member of the Ohio Army National Guard, Mr. Leugers has built his career on the principles of operational discipline and leadership. He credits his military service with shaping his approach to team development and execution.

Prior to FCBank, Leugers served as a senior vice president and commercial middle market team lead at Fifth Third Bank, where he drove business growth through team sales and credit capabilities, managed customer relationships and fostered a high-performing collaborative culture. Through his leadership, he was recognized as a four-time President’s Circle winner for Top Ranked Region in Business Banking.

Before his time at Fifth Third Bank, he worked as a relationship manager and vice president at First Merchants Corporation. In this role, he supported revenue growth and brand development, securing new commercial business relationships and expanding the bank’s footprint into new markets.

Leugers earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with majors in marketing and finance from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University.

He is committed to giving back to the community and currently serves on the board of Goodwill Columbus, where he is a member of the finance and compliance and audit committees. He previously served on the board of The Buffalove Foundation, supporting its mission to fight child hunger across the United States. He is also a dedicated volunteer with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
