Toxic Stress A Barrier To Opportunity? | Families Flourish

Families Flourish offers families – so far all led by single moms – coaching and programs to help them build a toolbox for economic security.
But the first step is moving to a home in a safer neighborhood that isn’t making their children sick from mold, leaks, or pests.
OSU evaluators have shown that Families Flourish participants spend about six months in their safer homes melting away toxic stress – and once that happens, they can set their goals and fully engage their coaches.
