May 22 @ 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

An opportunity to hear from professionals and survivors of traumatic loss
WALDO, OHIO (APRIL 21, 2026) – Cornerstone of Hope’s Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team, in partnership with Crawford Marion ADAM-H and Delaware Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services, invites community members and professionals to attend Survivor Stories on May 22, 2026.
This one-day event will be held at All Occasions Catering from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., with lunch included.
Participants will hear directly from both professionals and survivors of traumatic loss, offering a unique opportunity to learn through both clinical expertise and lived experience. The program will feature panel discussions focused on infant loss, school shootings, and motor vehicle accidents, with dedicated time for attendees to engage with panelists, ask questions, and deepen their understanding.
“Traumatic loss can leave individuals, families, and entire communities searching for answers and support,” said Deanna Brant, Executive Director of Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services. “Events like this bring together professional expertise and lived experience in a way that fosters understanding, connection, and healing—while equipping people with the tools to support one another better.”
Understanding the impact of traumatic loss is vital for all members of the community. Sudden loss remains a leading cause of death in the United States, and its effects reach far beyond the immediate tragedy. This event is designed to equip attendees—including leaders, employers, and community members—with practical knowledge and tools to better support those experiencing grief.
Continuing education credits are available for attendees, including:
- 3 CEUs for social workers, marriage and family therapists, and nurses
- 6 CEUs for funeral directors
The Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team serves survivors across Delaware, Morrow, Marion, Crawford, and Union counties. These services are provided at no cost to survivors, thanks to the support of Delaware Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services and Crawford Marion ADAM-H.
Brad DeCamp, Executive Director of Crawford Marion ADAM-H, emphasized the importance of the program: “The LOSS team isn’t something you ever want to have to utilize, but you’re grateful to have it when you need it.”
