CMA Community Days Celebrating the Margaret M. Walter Wing | Columbus Museum of Art

Join us for CMA Community Days on Sunday, August 3, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for a day filled with activities celebrating ten years of the Margaret M. Walter Wing and our special exhibitions—Wild Earth: JB Blunk and Toshiko Takaezu and Louise Nevelson: Dawn to Dusk

Admission to CMA Community Days is completely free, including general access and entry to the exhibitions. We invite visitors of all ages to cultivate creativity and connection through our diverse range of exhibitions and inspired programming.

All are welcome. Registration is encouraged.

Family Morning: Big Doodles

Celebrate ten years of the Margaret M. Walter Wing during a fun morning of giant doodles inspired by this iconic addition. Stretch out in the sunshine and draw together while imagining your own additions to the museum’s architecture.

Enjoy gourmet popsicles from Rime Time Pops in the Sculpture Garden from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Community Celebration: Design your Dream Museum

Minto and lead architect Michael Bongiorno, who led the design of the Margaret M. Walter Wing during his tenure at the award-winning firm DesignGroup.

Creative Lens: “What’s your next move?” Some New Ways to Respond to Art

Explore how personal connection and perception shape our experience of art in this interactive workshop led by nonvisual advocate Elizabeth Sammons, inspired by the work of Louise Nevelson and Toshiko Takaezu.
