Jancis Robinson’s Grapes of the World lists at least 1,360 grape varieties used to produce wine. Through historical circumstance, just a handful of those dominate the US wine market, and get ordered by name at restaurants and wine bars across the nation. However, the other 1,300+ can make some exceptional wines. Please join us as we taste four wines from some of the more obscure grape varieties, this time, focused on the Italian peninsula specifically. You may find a new favorite!
