Please join ASPYR and the South Central Ohio Workforce Partnership (SCOWP) at the Fairfield County Workforce Center, this Friday, May 1, for the Apprenticeship Resource Hub of Central Ohio (ARHCO) National Apprenticeship Week Summit, celebrating Registered Apprenticeship in Central Ohio. The event begins at 1:00 PM with brief presentations from employers, workforce and community partners, and local and state leaders, followed by networking and technical assistance. At 3:00 PM, ARHCO will host Registered Apprenticeship 101, a foundational training launching a new five-part workshop series for employers and partners interested in apprenticeship. ARHCO National Apprenticeship Week Summit
Hosted by South Central Ohio Workforce Partnership (Area 20 Workforce Board) and ASPYR (Area 11 Workforce Board).
Join us in person on May 1 as the Apprenticeship Resource Hub of Central Ohio proudly celebrates National Apprenticeship Week 2026 with an engaging and informative event on registered apprenticeship.
Our main event begins at 1pm, where attendees will hear brief presentations from some of our current pre-apprenticeship & apprenticeship employers, community & workforce partners, and invited local/state officials.
The event is open to:
- employers
- community partners
- workforce professionals
- educators
- students
- anyone interested in expanding pathways through Registered Apprenticeship.
Following the presentations, participants will have the opportunity to network, explore partnership opportunities, and/or stop by our technical assistance table for quick Q&A on apprenticeship programs
Beginning at 3pm, ARHCO will facilitate a training session entitled “Registered Apprenticeship 101” to officially launch our new 5-part Registered Apprenticeship Workshop Series.
Registered Apprenticeship 101 is a foundational session designed to prepare interested businesses for future in-depth sessions & help you understand:
- What Registered Apprenticeship is (and isn’t)
- The business case for apprenticeship
- How apprenticeship supports workforce recruitment and retention
- Next steps in launching a Registered Apprenticeship Program
While intended for business audiences, anyone is welcome to participate in the RA101 workshop.
