Columbus Chamber of Commerce Announces Strategic Realignment to Meet the Evolving Needs of the Business Community

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce a strategic internal realignment aimed at delivering greater efficiency, accountability, and value to the Columbus Region business community. This realignment ensures the Columbus Chamber’s internal structure is best positioned to meet the rapidly evolving needs of businesses while deepening our commitment to workforce development, innovation, and inclusion.
“Our goal is to be a proactive, responsive partner to the businesses we serve,” said Derrick R. Clay, President and CEO of the Columbus Chamber. “These changes reflect our deep understanding of how the business landscape is shifting and the responsibility we have to support this region’s future growth and success.”
As part of this evolution, Lorie Holt has been named Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for aligning internal resources, driving operational excellence, and positioning the organization for sustainable growth and innovation.
The new Business Experience Department will be led by Mallory Roth, newly promoted Vice President of Business Experience. This department will integrate the Chamber’s account representatives, Columbus Region Logistics Council, events, and programming, ensuring a seamless and high-impact experience for the business community.
Kelly Fuller has been named the Chamber’s Vice President of Workforce and Workplace Innovation. In this role, she will lead the Columbus Chamber’s efforts to help employers become destinations of choice in a highly competitive job market. Kelly’s work will focus on guiding businesses in recruitment, retention, and workplace best practices, while also connecting them to underutilized talent pipelines and education partners. This realignment underscores the Columbus Chamber’s commitment to building a skilled, inclusive workforce and supporting healthy, high-performing workplaces across the Columbus Region.

Kelly Campbell, Vice President of Finance & Administration; Hope Cotter, Vice President of Marketing & Communications; and Andy Hardy, Vice President of Government Relations will continue in their current leadership roles. Their ongoing contributions remain essential to advancing the Chamber’s strategic priorities and delivering value to the business community.
