S&T BANK SUPPORTS AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN COLUMBUS | S&T Bank
May 16th, 2025
S&T Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of S&T Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ, STBA), recently attended the ribbon-cutting celebration for Columbus Renaissance Housing, a newly constructed affordable housing community in Columbus, Ohio.
The Bank supported the development with a $7.85 million tax credit investment and a $8.4 million construction loan, contributing to the $16.5 million total project that will create more affordable housing for area residents.
Located at 33 West Morrill Avenue, the new housing consists of 46 total units including 12 one-bedroom/one bath, 28 two-bedroom/one bath and six (6) three-bedroom/two-bath units. All units are set aside at the 60% of Area Median Income (AMI) rent and income units.
Residents are offered amenities such as a community room with kitchenette, management office, supportive services office, parcel room for arriving packages, laundry room and fitness room. There is also access to an outdoor children’s playground, picnic area and paved parking lot with 69 spaces for residents and visitors. Occupants will also enjoy features such as wall-mounted intercoms, energy saving appliances and electric split system HVAC and electric water heater and more. Additionally, the units are near education, employment, recreation and shopping. Currently, ten units are occupied, and a grand opening event was held May 13, 2025.
S&T Bank recognizes the importance of financing affordable housing for area residents and Bank President Dave Antolik is pleased to be part of this effort stating, “I am immensely proud of S&T Bank’s dual role as both the construction lender and tax credit investor for Columbus Renaissance Housing. This investment in collaboration with Woda Cooper Companies, Inc., Community Development for All People and Marble Cliff Capital is not just a financial commitment; it is also another way we are making people our purpose by supporting growth and combatting housing insecurity in the region. Developments like Columbus Renaissance Housing are vital because they help provide much needed stability and have a positive, lasting impact on the communities we serve.”
