Organization: PureHeart – 501(c)(3) – A nonprofit dedicated to providing male emancipated foster youth
between the ages of 18 and 21 with housing stability, mental health support, and comprehensive
continuity of care.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to empower emancipated foster youth by providing safe housing and
comprehensive support that fosters mental, emotional, and personal growth. Through tailored mental
health programs and life skills development, we create a foundation for independence and long-term
success, helping youth thrive in adulthood.

Vision Statement: Our vision is to ensure emancipated foster youth have access to stable housing, mental health support, and the resources needed to achieve independence. We strive to be a beacon of hope, empowering youth to build self-sufficient futures and break the cycle of instability for lasting positive change.

The Need: The statistics are alarming: nearly 20,000 youth age out of the foster care system each year in the United States. Without the necessary support, many face homelessness, unemployment, lack of
education, and mental health challenges. These young adults, who have often endured years of instability and trauma, are left to navigate adulthood with minimal resources. PureHeart addresses this crisis headon, offering a vital solution that not only meets their immediate needs for housing but also equips them with the life skills and emotional support they need to thrive.

Housing and Services: PureHeart offers safe and stable housing in a supportive environment,
empowering young adults who have emancipated from the foster care system to build a foundation for
a positive future.

Our Why: We currently operate a group home Foundation of Love for Youth (FLY House) for male youth
ages 12-18, and up to 21 in some cases. Over the years, we’ve realized that once our youth age out of
the foster care system, there are few opportunities for them to continue receiving the support they
need to succeed in life. Too often, this lack of continuity has led to homelessness, substance abuse, or
incarceration, even for those who excelled in our program—earning high school diplomas and benefiting
from therapeutic services. While our care helped them thrive temporarily, it wasn’t enough to sustain
them once they left our program. We soon recognized that ongoing services were critical to their longterm well-being.

That’s why we are expanding our services beyond age 18. Much like parents who continue to guide
their children into adulthood, we are committed to providing the same level of care for youth aging out
of foster care, ensuring they have the support they need to build successful futures.
The true test comes when these young people emancipate—the funding ends, but their needs remain.
Providing continued support beyond that point reflects the unwavering commitment of a PureHeart
dedicated to their future. Just as parents guide their children into adulthood, we are committed to
offering the same level of care for youth aging out of foster care, standing by them as they transition
into independence, knowing they are not alone.
