What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

Partnering and networking with Columbus organizations who serve central Ohio communities.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

WPCU and its partner-employees actively participate in financial industry organizations and non-profit companies like Financial Health Network, CUNA, Ohio Credit Union League to name a few. WPCU partners with local and regional non-profits and community support organizations.

What is your company culture like?

At WPCU, we understand that we are stronger and better off together. Regardless of who we are or where we come from, there is much we can learn from each other. For that reason, we are committed to cultivating a culture where inclusion, diversity and equal access flourish.

We will support and nurture a culture that embraces the broad diversity of our members, partners and community. We provide opportunities, resources, and encouragement to all so they can authentically and holistically live the lives they want to live. We meet all people where they are to establish relationships built on trust, empathy, and compassion

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

The most successful WPCU partner-employees know we make a difference by serving our members and fellow partners with compassion and empathy. Our top performers are relationship builders, always looking for ways to help members save money, borrow smarter, and offer support when things are tough. Our partner-employees are differentiators—and that when we work hand-in-hand with our members to meet their needs and exceed their expectations, amazing things will happen. Our WPCU partners take great care of our members—and each other.

When we review prospective partner-employee applicants, we look for those who have a servant heart. Our partners are successful when they realize it is about how we can make someone else’s life better – living out our mission. We look for those that understand we can’t always say yes but what we can say is here is what we can do to get you there. We look for those who always look to make things better and not just stand on what we have always done. We look for those who seek to understand the why and build on what we currently do. We also look for people that make mistakes and learn from those mistakes; people who hold themselves accountable. We are not perfect, but we strive for excellence in what we do.
