Since 1845, Wittenberg University has challenged its students to become responsible global citizens, to discover their callings, and to lead personal, professional, and civic lives of creativity, service, compassion, and integrity, all within a diverse, personalized residential setting in the heart of southwest Ohio. Teaching and research at Wittenberg emphasize the discovery of new knowledge. The University is also committed to ensuring its students have career-ready skills, as well as an enduring passion for learning, which requires risk-taking, persistence, reflection, and high ethical standards. What will our students do? What will they achieve as alumni? Some might say “that’s up to them,” but we know better: it’s on us, too. What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

The member/website spotlight, newsletter, event promotion, and the opportunity to open doors for our students to network and contribute their talents in the great Columbus area.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Career and professional development is essential to the Wittenberg experience, which is why we work daily to help our students explore, engage, and connect with professors, alumni, each other, our community, and on a global scale. We create partnerships, internships, and a range of opportunities for our students to apply what they learn in the classroom so they can lead, serve, and grow as human beings and become sought-after employees. We are also consistently researching and implementing new pathways, leveraging technology to facilitate networking, and enhancing alumni engagement to assist our students in discovering their passion and purpose.

What is your company culture like?

The culture of Wittenberg is best reflected in our motto: “Having Light We Pass It On To Others.” The words are imprinted on our Seal, and they are easily recited by students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike. In essence, we all help one another discover, grow, and thrive, as we aim to make the world a brighter place.
