Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

Tolles Career & Technical Center is a Joint Vocational School District founded in 1971 and first opened our doors to students in 1974, almost 50 years ago! Tolles offers 20 technical training programs to high school students from Dublin, Fairbanks, Hilliard, Jefferson Local, Jonathan Alder, London and Madison-Plains school districts, preparing them for careers and college. Tolles currently offers 6 short-term training programs to adults at our main campus location; focusing on career training for Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Public Safety. Tolles also develops and delivers customized training for local businesses, ranging from CPR-First Aid, and Employability Skills to specialized technical training such as FANUC Robotics, Allen Bradley PLCs, and customized welding training.

The Vision of Tolles Career & Technical Center is to launch students into their dreams for their future as a leader in career technical education. Our mission is to Lift All students by delivering a world-class career technical education to all students.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We look forward to working with the Columbus Chamber to improve brand recognition and to help expand the delivery of our mission. Workforce Development in Ohio has reached a new level of importance and educating and attracting talent is critical to achieving Ohio’s goals. The Columbus Chamber will provide Tolles with more opportunities for collaboration and networking, both essential components for successfully accomplishing our mission.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Tolles Career & Technical Center regularly engages with local industries to stay abreast of workforce training needs, skills and trends and works collaboratively to develop and implement training solutions. Professional organization memberships, such as Ohio Association of Career Technical Education and Ohio Association of Career-Technical Superintendents, provide state-wide and regional insights into best practices and programming trends. Another critical component for staying engaged with industry trends is Tolles involvement in local community business associations, local chambers of commerce, One1 Columbus and local legislators.

What is your company culture like?
