Member Spotlight by Eric C. Wetli, CLCS – Commercial Risk Consultant

Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services.
Eric partners with Columbus, and surrounding area, business owners to help build and maintain their business’s risk management programs. This includes finding appropriate and affordable insurance coverage to protect business critical parts and functions, reviewing employee and customer safety guidelines, as well as overall loss control protocols for management to use in the workplace. By assuming these roles for his client’s, Eric helps to remove much of the worry of “what if”. This way the business owner can stay focused what matters most to them… Their business, their clients and their employees.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
At Overmyer Hall Associates it is our mission to create elated relationships with our clients, partners, and the local community in which we do business.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
We have been a member of the Columbus Chamber for quite some time now and have built tremendous partnerships within the large community of reputable chamber members. It is great to be a part of an association that embraces our city and those who are helping to grow it. The Annual Chamber Clambake and Lobster Feast is a personal favorite of mine and an event that we never miss.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We pride ourselves on constant education in all departments here at OHA. Not only within the insurance market, but also the business verticals that we specialize in. You will see OHA representatives attending construction site safety conventions, leading financial industry forums, volunteering on various boards and non-profits, as well pursuing new industry trends at regional and national insurance seminars. In our opinion, this is the only way we can best serve our clients and community. By not only knowing the insurance market, but by also knowing how it applies to our client’s business needs.

What is your company culture like?
We are a big family of insurance enthusiasts who simply want to help out our friends and community in any way that we can.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
You have to be the kind of teammate that others want on their team. I know that sounds simple, and it kind of is. Be able and willing to listen, to help, to learn, be accountable, and always look to give back.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is no longer one of the best kept secrets in America, as you can see by the massive growth in the last decade. People are moving here from all over world. They are bringing their families and their businesses with them. And they are staying. That speaks for itself I think.
