For more than 20 years, Milestone Benefits Agency has been resolving the challenges you face in providing and administering employee benefits. We assist our clients in controlling their medical plan costs, providing paperless and pain-free benefits administration, audit-ready compliance, comprehensive wellness programs, employee education and claims support.

Our goal is to provide a “value beyond benefits” to our clients. We invest the time and energy to take our prospective clients through our discovery process. This discovery-based, strategic planning process creates a road map to achieve an organization’s vision of a high-performing benefit program. We build a multi-year action plan to guide your benefit decisions that aim to achieve the most valuable outcome for every dollar spent. By jointly working through this process, organizations experience how we work and can assess the value we deliver. 

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
Our mission is to go above and beyond and provide a superior value for our number one priority, our clients. We are committed to using our industry knowledge to provide the highest quality insurance products and services to our clients. Each and every day, we exceed our client’s expectations by putting their organizations interests above our own. From this our “Value Promise” was cultivated: “Value Beyond Benefits.”

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
We have enjoyed working with our Member Relationship Manager, Ashley Bernatz. She has done a fantastic job working with us to ensure that we get the most value out of our membership. Through doing so we hope to be able to improve our brand recognition and our visibility within the Chamber community. We have also utilized the Chamber’s research department to help us find various pieces of information for our agency’s marketing team. We look forward to connecting with other businesses in Columbus and becoming more engrained in the Columbus Chamber community.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We are your connected benefits partner. Milestone is Central Ohio’s exclusive member of the Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), a national, credentialed network of over 100 independent benefit advisory and consulting companies.

As a group, we service over 10,000 employers and 8,500,000 employees, representing all major industries and have access to a wide range of legal, compliance and wellness/population health management expertise. BAN Membership is contingent upon meeting the utmost standards of industry knowledge, ethics and ability to lead and collaborate. By leveraging best practice sharing, market clout leveraging, and shared capital for investments, we are able to bring our clients the best solutions to meet their needs at competitive prices.

We attend many events, workshops, and webinars held by BAN and other industry thought leaders. We are “National Scope. Local Service.” We have the tools and resources of many of the larger national consulting agencies, all while still being a locally owned and independent business that only answers to the needs of our clients, rather than to Wall Street.

What is your company culture like?
Simple.  Milestone is a family. We rely on and support one another to ensure that we are successful and happy in our pursuits. Our families have grown up together and supported each one of us both personally and professionally. There are no individuals here, just one family.  We are laid back, yet focused and professional.  This culture translates directly to our clients- we value the personal relationships we have established, and thoroughly enjoy working with them each day.
