Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services

Emerald Creative Content is a Boutique Digital Marketing Agency specializing in search engine optimization (SEO). Our services include SEO strategy (think technical website audits, keyword research, and blog content calendars), SEO content creation and copywriting (keyword-rich website content and blog content), and ghostwriting (yes, writing editorial thought leadership pieces and e-books help your SEO…AND your conversion rates!). 

We also connect with other agencies offering services that go hand-in hand with SEO. Two of our sister agencies include Robles Designs and Creative Gold Agency. 

TL/DR: We help small to mid-sized businesses get more eyeballs on their website. How? With content that’s discoverable, click-worthy, irresistibly engaging, and shareworthy.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values

Our mission is to level the playing field for businesses of ALL sizes in search engines results pages through organic content that’s on-brand and on-budget. We value creativity, relationships, knowledge sharing, data-driven strategy, and performance. 

There are no gatekeepers here—we’re ready to share what we know with anyone who has the desire to learn about SEO best practices and how AI technology can help you implement a consistent strategy no matter how big (or small) your marketing department might be.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

As a relationship-driven business, I joined for the chance to network with and learn from other like-minded leaders in Columbus. I also hope for the chance to host a few SEO and AI workshops to empower businesses with the knowledge they need to rank their businesses in search engines while keeping costs down and saving precious time!

As a former educator of nine years, I also value ongoing learning, and look forward to the professional development opportunities the Chamber offers.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

I’m a tech nerd and course junky—you’ll find me reading those 80-page algorithm updates Google releases every now and then, engaging with books by leaders in my industry, and listening to podcasts by creators I admire in my niche. I attend conferences and professional development opportunities to learn about AI and SEO best practices whenever I can. I also teach courses and seminars to help keep Columbus business owners in the loop with what I learn.

What is your company culture like?

Emerald Creative Content’s company culture is empathetic and human-centric—despite the fact that we spend most of our time trying to please robot crawlers. We’re relationship-driven and prefer to make real-life connections with our writers and clients whenever we can. Ongoing learning and professional development is a priority for all of our employees and contractors—we are the leaders and the best at SEO strategy and copywriting. We show up every day ready to support ethical, diverse, and growing businesses of all sizes. We’re anti-bro-marketing tactics (which are coercive) and pro-relationship-driven and data-driven marketing tactics instead (which are more effective and ethical).

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

Our employees are successful when they feel that their ideas are valued, they see their contributions driving our clients towards their goals, and they look forward to the work they do to keep our company moving forward.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

The more I get to know the people keeping commerce alive and well in our city, the more impressed I am. There are so many like-minded business leaders keeping Columbus forward-thinking and competitive. Specifically, I’m continually impressed by the women in business here who have made space for themselves and future women to succeed in our city. I’m grateful to them for extending the ladder down to my generation of business leaders, and I look forward to doing the same for the next generation.
