Anderson Concrete is a leader in the concrete industry, providing quality concrete for residential, commercial and public works projects in Columbus since 1921. Today, Anderson offers specialty concrete products for projects of all sizes and has worked diligently in the lab to create mix designs that make our concrete stronger than ever.

Anderson Concrete strives to build lasting relationships with our customers by safely delivering quality products with superior service and to lead our industry by building a better community together.

We are as reliable, consistent and lasting in our customer service and practices as our product – standing the test of time, regardless of outside forces and challenges. We value safety, integrity, excellence, gratitude and community, within our teams and in our work with customers.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We place great value on creating relationships and staying involved in our community through volunteer work, event sponsorship and participation and more. The networking and relationship-building opportunities that the Columbus Chamber provides are of great value to our team.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

Our leaders and team members are highly engaged in community groups as well as professional organizations that allow them to be on the cutting edge of what is new in our industry. Among those organizations, we have been recognized with awards for safety, project recognition, excellence in quality initiatives, leadership achievements and more.

What is your company culture like?

We started as a family business and continue to function as one after over 100 years of operation and exponential growth. Whether the connection is genetic or professional, we treat each other as family and place importance on the strength and resilience that our tenure in the industry demonstrates. We value and promote excellence in everything we do, while still providing a sense of community and gratitude in all our teams, professional relationships and projects.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

As a large team with a vast variety of job types and responsibilities, the company culture set forth by our founders and leaders must be carried out in each department and at every job site. We focus on creating an atmosphere of teamwork and communication so that we can ensure the high level of standard and trust that make Anderson Concrete a great place to work. What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

When we drive to work every day, run our errands and explore the city with our families, we have the unique privilege of driving past projects that we have had the opportunity to work on. Whether residential, commercial or public works, these are landmarks in the culture and history of Columbus. The Crew Stadium, Dublin Pedestrian Bridge, Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Hilton Downtown Columbus, Grandview Yard, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Veterans Memorial, Nationwide Arena and so many more, are just a handful of the projects that we are proud to have made our mark on.

We have spent the last 100 years watching as the city has grown to become what it is today and as a result, have deep connections to the community that has allowed us to thrive.
