Columbus Chamber of Commerce Names 2021 Columbus Award Recipient

Stephanie Hightower to be recognized at Chamber Annual Meeting, April 28

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce will honor Stephanie Hightower, president and CEO of the Columbus Urban League, as this year’s recipient of the Columbus Award.

Stephanie will be recognized during Adapt, the Chamber’s 2021 Annual Meeting and its largest program of the year.

The Columbus Award has recognized exceptional community leadership and business success since 1964. Past honorees have included Cathy Lyttle, Steve Rasmussen and former Mayor Michael B. Coleman.

“Stephanie epitomizes every quality that a great leader should possess – determination, adaptability, bravery, wisdom, integrity, authenticity,” said Don DePerro, Columbus Chamber president and CEO. “The Columbus Chamber is honored to be able to recognize Stephanie for her contributions to our community through this award.”

Stephanie’s passion for a better community is reflected in her professional, volunteer and personal life, and her professional background includes a wealth of experiences in athletics, education and public service. You can read Stephanie’s full bio here.

Stephanie will accept her award at the Chamber’s virtual Annual Meeting, Adapt, on April 28.

Adapt will feature five keynote presentations from Central Ohio leaders, and the recipient of the Small Business Leader Award will also be recognized at the program.
