Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services.
Status Solutions is the pioneering provider of situational awareness technologies with a mission to keep people informed by delivering tools for life safety assurance, security monitoring, environmental awareness and mass notification. Our customized software solutions ensure the right information reaches the right people automatically via various portals and dashboards for faster, more efficient communication. We help organizations better collect, process, interpret and deliver their data to read, see, hear and do therefore managing risk while transforming business operations. Because RIGHT NOW matters most.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
At Status Solutions we believe that ignorance isn’t bliss, it’s dangerous, and that having access to information makes you better equipped to protect life, property, business and convenience. We believe that while awareness is important, empowerment is vital.  Having information is nice, using it is meaningful.  We believe that community is the core of our society and that bridging senior living communities to schools through intergenerational engagement with support from the business community at large is a worthwhile endeavor.

  • School Solutions Network
    • Founded shortly after the tragic events that took place at Columbine High School in 1999, Status Solutions was created on the foundation improving risk management and communication within schools. Since then we have successfully installed our solutions in just about every market you can think of, senior living, healthcare, government, hospitality, etc. But what we realized is the one entity that this company was created for struggled to implement the proper lifesaving technology due to various barriers. We believe that in an ever-evolving world faced with strained resources, growing needs and wide-ranging threats, schools should not be alone in the pursuit of safety, technology and support – this lead to the creation of the School Solutions Network.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
We are looking forward to working with the Columbus Chamber to help deliver our mission, improve brand recognition and further our goal of improving school safety. Status Solutions believes that by merging the power of communities with our technology expertise we can holistically identify and address each school’s unique needs. With that being said, we are eager to connect with other like-minded and passionate organizations and individuals to strengthen innovation, awareness and reduce risk in our schools, and ultimately, the well-being of our students and staff.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
Innovation is critical when it comes to technology. End users are the ones truly constructing industry trends based upon their wants and needs. With that being said, to ensure we stay on top of different trends within of our various markets we collaborate with our customers through several events we sponsor like roundtable discussions, innovation conferences, community events, etc.

We attend conferences and trade shows that are specific to our industry and target markets. In addition, we are members of a number of organizations where we are able to share and receive information with other industry leaders.

What is your company culture like?
Status Solutions is made up of many different personalities and expertise, which is typical of a software company, but here we have a tight knit group of passionate and driven individuals that truly embody our purpose and mission. Our employees don’t come to work every day to simply clock in and clock out, they come into work to “help people” and that means something different to everyone – whether that’s improving the lives of seniors, contributing to our fundraising efforts to fight cancer through Pelotonia or keeping students and teachers safe at school. Many of our employees choose to work here because they connect with our solutions and causes on a personal level, they know that what we do here can not only help people in general, but can benefit a loved one.

 Although our passion is not limited to the above, because if it was there would no room for college football and there should always be room for college football. Especially Ohio State football, can I get an O-H? In the Status Solutions office located in Westerville, Ohio you will find scarlet walls splashed with pictures from our annual Ohio State tailgates and quotes of long-time employees.

Our company is made up of strong-minded employees with unique talents working to achieve one common goal, to defeat ignorance-based loss.

Columbus has grown tremendously over the past 15 years and, much like the technology industry, it is not slowing down anytime soon.
