Operating across North America, NSSL specializes in yard management also known as trailer switching or spotting and shuttling. As an asset-based provider, our turn-key program is powered by our fleet and proprietary yard management application, Shuntware®. This approach allows us to increase productivity, reduce power units and labor costs while improving overall yard visibility. We prove that – Every Move Counts.

As a feedback organization, the NSSL mission is to be a dependable, flexible, and cost-effective support system within our customer’s operation while maintaining best-in-class standards for safety and our environment. By continually listening to and understanding our customer’s changing needs, we help realize their true potential for an efficient yard.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

A successful employee at NSSL is first and foremost family oriented. We are a curious bunch with a continuous improvement mindset. It’s important that we all pull the rope in the same direction. NSSL looks for collaborative, supportive and mindful people. The NSSL family is built on team work, flexibility and innovation. What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

There are a number of reasons Columbus is a great place for NSSL to plant our flag. With 50%+ of the population within a 10 hour drive, Columbus has world class market access and the same can be said for manufacturing capacity. With a growing population and major MSA, Columbus is home to large chain retailer HQs and DCs along with access to class A railroads.

As the sole provider of yard management service to DCs for a major home improvement retailer in the state of Ohio, NSSL recently moved our US corporate office from Massachusetts to Ohio (Dublin) in late 2021 to better support our customers, sales efforts and growth potential.
