Tell us about your company’s mission and values

Historically, the Finance Authority is a small but impactful public finance agency that partners with economic developers, small businesses, government entities and banks. The agency provides creative funding options for projects in the private, non-profit and public sectors.

Established in 2006 by legislative action of the Columbus City Council and the Franklin County Board of Commissioners we are organized as a port authority under Ohio law.  Port authorities are partners in activities that enhance, foster, aid, provide or promote transportation, economic development, recreation, education, governmental operations, or research within the jurisdiction of the port authority. We consider ourselves a friendly lender and project partner with a mission to promote business investment and job creation.
