Buckeye Power Sales is your go-to partner for power generators for on-site power for industrial, commercial, residential, mobile and marine applications, as well as rental power, construction and landscape equipment. Buckeye Power Sales has been family owned and operated since 1947 and is the exclusive generator distributor for Kohler Power Systems for the company’s customers in Ohio and Indiana.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
Buckeye Power Sales mission is to supply power systems to businesses, engineers, OEMs, contractors and dealers who require dependable back-up power for their facilities. Also, supply commercial landscape contractors, municipalities, and large acreage homeowners with sales, service and parts to maintain equipment for their customers or facilities. Finally, we service the needs of contractors, municipalities, institutions and event companies that require portable power and compact construction equipment in Ohio, Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and parts of Illinois.

We want to do business with customers who value dedication and quality more than price, are looking for a long-term partnership and want a supplier who is dependable and easy to work with.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
At Buckeye Power Sales we are looking forward to connecting with chamber members to develop long term relationships to continue to unify Columbus businesses for the good of the entire city.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We stay engaged with trends in the market by attending trade shows, manufacturer seminars and listening to our customers and helping them identify solutions to their unique applications.

What is your company culture like?
The culture at Buckeye Power Sales is working together for a common goal of serving the customer and working with all departments and business units to achieve that goal in the most efficient way. Customer service is a focus in all positions at BPS. The business is consistently recognized as one top family-owned businesses in Columbus, we are approaching our 75^th anniversary with great optimism toward the future. We have adopted the EOS business model using tools to align on goals that will move our business forward.

 What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
What it takes to be successful at Buckeye Power Sales is a can-do attitude and collaboration when there are issues to keep progressing toward the company mission. There is a focus on employee engagement to keep everyone connected to the main goal, outstanding customer service.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is a great place to do business because the opportunity is so vast and ever-changing. Being centrally located close to all the major metropolitan areas in which we operate is key to allow employees to easily travel to other locations to support business goals that require one-on-one collaboration.
