Johnson’s Real Ice Cream is embarking on its largest retail expansion in the company’s 74 year history by simultaneously opening three new locations in 2024. This unprecedented move marks a significant milestone, highlighting the company’s commitment to growing its footprint in Central Ohio.

Columbus, OH – January 29, 2024 – Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, the cherished family-owned ice cream company founded in 1950 in Bexley, Ohio, is making a flavorful impact this spring with the opening of three new locations in Central Ohio. Alongside the previously announced Grandview store, are two additional spots—one nestled in Italian Village at the former S’witch Social location and the other gracing Canal Winchester.

The Grandview location, positioned across from the iconic Grandview Cafe at 1325 Grandview Ave., places Johnson’s Real Ice Cream at the heart of this vibrant community. Surrounded by local businesses and the energetic Grandview Avenue atmosphere, the store is poised to become a gathering place for ice cream enthusiasts.

The Italian Village location, at 869 N. Fourth St., brings Johnson’s Real Ice Cream to the historic streets of the neighborhood. As with all Johnson’s locations, the Italian Village spot promises to be a hub of community spirit, sharing the joy of their handcrafted ice cream with residents and visitors alike.

The free-standing Canal Winchester location at 20 N. High St. is more than just a sweet addition to the community’s vibrant downtown corridor. Positioned across from the locally loved restaurant, Shade on the Canal, and nestled adjacent to the popular Stradley Place, a public park renowned for hosting special events, Johnson’s is set to become the perfect neighbor.
