Ice Miller Continues East Coast Growth with New Baltimore Office

Ice Miller is pleased to announce the expansion of its East Coast presence with the opening of a new office in the heart of downtown Baltimore. Located in the iconic 100 Light Street building overlooking the Inner Harbor, Ice Miller’s Baltimore office further expands the firm’s geographical footprint and fortifies its ability to offer sophisticated legal services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. The Baltimore office adds to Ice Miller’s East Coast presence, which spans from New York to Washington, D.C.

Ice Miller’s new Baltimore office will be led by Managing Partner Kevin Hroblak, a respected business litigator who was part of a team that recently joined the firm from Whiteford, Taylor & Preston L.L.P. With more than 23 years of litigation and governance experience advising clients on a broad array of legal challenges, Hroblak, who previously served as the co-chair of Whiteford’s Litigation Department, has represented companies, individuals, trustees, boards of directors, and corporate officers in connection with litigation and internal and government investigations involving director and officer liability claims, mismanagement and business fraud, professional liability insurance disputes, auditing and accounting malpractice, and other business-related litigation. 

He also represents companies, creditors, and trustees in financial restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, and related litigation. Although resident in Baltimore, he litigates and handles cases in state and federal courts across the country.

Joining Hroblak in the new Baltimore office are partners Edward Buxbaum and Aaron Casagrande. Buxbaum, who has 39 years of litigation experience in commercial, insurance coverage, trade secret, professional liability, director & officer, and appellate matters, previously served as co-chair of Whiteford’s Business and Corporate Litigation Section. Casagrande is a 16-year business and bankruptcy litigator who served as co-chair of Whiteford’s E-Discovery Practice Group. The partners are supported by associate Michael Collins, Jr., and Ice Miller will be proactively expanding the office in the months to come to establish a full-service business and litigation office.
