This year, we are thrilled to honor The Daimler Group, specifically Bob White Sr. and Tom White, for their incredible contributions to the Marburn Academy community.
Marburn’s relationship with Daimler began in 2013 when talks of building the facility in New Albany began. While a Marburn Academy capital project didn’t look easy, Daimler took a leap of faith as they saw the importance of our mission and the passion behind the need for a new school for our students.
Always the quintessential partner, they were constant advisors in the building process, and worked diligently with the architects at Moody Nolan.
At the 2017 completion of the project, Bob Sr. and Tom made it a point to ensure the students had what they needed – visiting the facility whenever a question arose and even sponsoring t-shirts for the students, faculty, and staff to commemorate their new home.
As if that isn’t enough, when asked to continue their impact at the school, Tom stepped into a Board Member role, helping to steward Marburn through important organizational decisions. One of those key decisions was extending Marburn’s services to the west side of Columbus to further Marburn’s impact.
Daimler stepped up there too, searching for and arranging tours at multiple commercial properties within our desired areas. Ultimately, it was a Daimler lease that Marburn chose to start its “Columbus West” journey and Daimler ensured the office looked and felt just like it should – a true extension of the New Albany campus.
The Daimler Group has been a constant financial supporter of the school as annual Gala sponsors, and so much more! Marburn Academy will always be thankful for Daimler’s support and partnership throughout the years and we look forward to honoring them on April 19th.
