Join us at Eat Up 2025 to support Freedom a la Cart’s mission to empower survivors of human trafficking on their path to self-sufficiency — at an elegantly elevated Eat Up. We’ll gather in celebration of community and the strength of survivors through: a five-course tasting menu by James Beard semifinalist Chef BJ Lieberman and his culinary peers; silent and live auctions featuring exclusive experiences and one-of-a-kind items; local live music; and a heartfelt program presented by Freedom a la Cart.

Freedom a la Cart empowers survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation to build lives of freedom and self-sufficiency. We believe that breaking down employment barriers is vital for creating a pathway to freedom. So, we’ve created a safe place of restoration where survivors can heal, learn and grow as they prepare for sustainable employment, gain personal independence and reintegrate into our community.
We believe our model that joins social purpose with business rationality is scalable, replicable and effective. With a focus on serving thousands of survivors, we envision taking our model to new markets nationwide. It is our strong hope that other cities will employ intentional economic empowerment as a means to break cycles of exploitation.
