Columbus Region Logistics Council Presents Exclusive Screening of Beyond Zero – A Visionary Documentary on Capitalism and Sustainability

February 6th, 2025

The Columbus Region Logistics Council (CRLC), an initiative of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, is hosting an exclusive screening of Beyond Zero, a groundbreaking documentary that challenges conventional business practices and reimagines capitalism as a force for good. The event will take place on Thursday, April 10 from 7:30 – 11:30 am at the Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long Street, Columbus, Ohio 43203.

Unlike traditional environmental documentaries that focus on the dangers of climate change and inequality, Beyond Zero offers an inspiring, solution-driven narrative. The film chronicles the transformation of Interface, a $1 billion global carpet company, from an environmental offender to a sustainability pioneer. The company’s commitment to becoming carbon negative has not only set a new standard for corporate responsibility but has also demonstrated that businesses can align profit with people and the planet.

Following the screening, attendees will engage in an insightful panel discussion featuring the film’s director alongside industry leaders and sustainability experts. The discussion will explore how businesses can drive scalable positive change and what this shift means for the future of industries, communities, and the planet.

“Beyond Zero is more than just a documentary—it’s a call to action for the business community,” shared Christine Boucher, Director of the Columbus Region Logistics Council at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. “As we continue to push for sustainable solutions in the Columbus Region, this film serves as an inspiring example of how industries, including logistics, can thrive while making a lasting positive impact on the environment and society.”

“At SWACO, we believe that sustainability and economic success go hand in hand,” said Joe Lombardi, Executive Director of the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio. “We are proud to be the title sponsor for this event because it aligns with our vision and mission to create a cleaner, greener future for Central Ohio. Beyond Zero showcases the power of rethinking business models for the betterment of our planet and our pocketbooks.”

The Columbus Region Logistics Council invites business leaders, sustainability advocates, and community members to be part of this transformative discussion.
