Columbus Chamber’s Fall Small Business Accelerator Program Successfully Concludes with Repeat Support from City Grants

December 17th, 2024

[Columbus], [Ohio] – In a significant boost to local entrepreneurship, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, with the generous support of city grants, is delighted to announce the successful wrap-up of its Fall Small Business Accelerator Program for the third year. This initiative, which began on September 10th and 11th , welcomed 24 enthusiastic entrepreneurs. Participants were split into two groups based on the stage of their business: startups within their first three years and more established businesses looking for further development.

Throughout a 12-week period, the program offered six bi-weekly classes at the downtown Metropolitan Library. Led by Abiona Harper, a distinguished business development consultant, the curriculum spanned a variety of crucial subjects, including marketing strategies, operational management, funding acquisition, and understanding state certifications. These classes were meticulously crafted to arm entrepreneurs with the skills and insights needed for their business ventures to flourish.

A standout feature of the program was its inclusivity, being free for Franklin County residents. This initiative highlights the City and Chamber’s dedication to eliminating obstacles to business education and support. The program concluded with a graduation ceremony and reception on November 19th & 20th , where participants celebrated their progress and achievements. Additionally, graduates received complimentary professional headshots from Toi Tucker Photography, enhancing their professional image.

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce, along with its partners, is proud of the Fall Accelerator Program’s positive outcomes. Looking ahead, we are excited to commence another round of cohorts in 2025. Registration for the Spring session will open just after the first of the year, offering a fresh group of entrepreneurs the chance to benefit from this exceptional program.
